THIS week began on a memorable note as several places, particularly in the central and eastern regions, experienced the first rainfall of the season on Monday.
Although the rainfall was not heavy, it brought much-needed relief and renewed hope for many affected by the widespread drought across the country.
Namibians took to social media to express their appreciation for the rain, sharing photos and videos of light to moderate showers from various parts of the country, including Ongwediva in the Oshana Region, Gobabis and Rietfontein in the Omaheke Region, as well as Okahandja, Otjiwarongo, and Otavi in the Otjozondjupa Region.
