NAMPOWER board chairperson, Dr. Ester Kali, has resigned effective 31st August 2024.
In a statement issued by NamPower’s board of directors on Monday, it was announced that Kali stepped down as chairperson in compliance with the regulatory environment.
Subsequently, the Minister of Finance and Public Enterprises has appointed Clive Kavendjii as acting chairperson until a substantive chairperson is appointed.
“The NamPower Board and Management wholeheartedly appreciate the leadership and opportunity to have worked with Dr. Kali and wish her all the best,” the statement read.
Additionally, the statement expressed that they look forward to the stewardship of the board under the capable leadership of Kavendjii.
