DESPITE the media team’s defeat, Ingozi FC and the Northern Journalists played an exhilarating game in which both teams demonstrated unity and fair play.
The media team was sent back to their sketchbooks, notes, and pens to reorganize, showcasing raw potential once more.
Ingozi FC left the media team with zero goals to their nine after a 14-minute playoff.
The Top Score Oshiwana 7-A-side tournament is hosted with the aim of uniting community members through sport.
This year, an amount of N$150,000 has been invested in the hosting of the four-day tournament.
The overall football winner will walk away with N$10,000, a floating trophy, and gold medals. The team in second place will receive N$8,000 and silver medals, while the team in third place will get N$5,000.
Meanwhile, in the netball and volleyball categories, the winners will walk away with N$7,000, a floating trophy, and gold medals. The second-place winners will receive N$5,000 and silver medals, and the third-place team will get N$3,000 and bronze medals.
This is the seventh edition of the tournament, which will conclude on Sunday.
