THE Chamber of Mines will be hosting the 11th Mining Expo and Conference in Windhoek on Wednesday, 7 August, and Thursday, 8 August.
“Hosted by the Chamber of Mines and proudly sponsored by RMB, this event serves as a beacon of growth and opportunity in Namibia’s vibrant mining sector,” said Veston Malango, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Chamber of Mines of Namibia.
He revealed that the event, which will take place at the Windhoek Showgrounds, will be held under the theme “Green Shoots for Namibia’s Mining Industry: A Season of Opportunity and Growth to Drive Economic Expansion.”
“This theme underscores the new growth and opportunities emerging in the industry, driven by a rejuvenation in the uranium sub-sector, a new gold mine, growing potential in the oil and gas sector, and strategic investments to increase the life of mines of existing operations,” Malango said.
He added that the expo will have more than 199 exhibitors, occupying 317 stalls. The CEO invited interested parties to attend the expo, emphasising that it aims to explore the opportunities and potential within the country’s mining sector.
“Building on the success of previous years, this event promises to be even bigger and more impactful, offering a platform for industry professionals, suppliers, and stakeholders to explore the latest developments and career opportunities in the mining industry,” Malango added.
