THE public is invited to attend the 9th Edition of the Namibian Defence Force (NDF) Annual Games, hosted by the Namibian Air Force in Grootfontein, Otjozondjupa Region, from 29 July to 04 August 2024.
The NDF announced that the championship will be held under the theme ‘Forging Resilience Through Sport’ and will take place at the Lt Gen Dimo Hamaambo Garrison’s Sports Grounds and Omulunga Stadium.

“The aim of the competition is to enhance the physical and mental fitness of the soldiers. It also serves as a platform for soldiers to showcase their skills and talents, fostering camaraderie and unity among the troops,” the defence force explained.
The NDF revealed that the event will feature teams from various NDF Services, Formations, and Units competing in a range of sports codes including football, volleyball, netball, darts, chess, pool, catapult, boxing, and athletics.
“The public is warmly invited to join and witness this exciting championship. Come and be a part of this significant event, celebrating resilience, strength, and the indomitable spirit of our military personnel. Your presence and support will not only encourage the participants but also underscore the bond between the military and the civilian community,” NDF added.
