POLICE in the Erongo Region have confirmed an incident where a truck trailer carrying crates of beer overturned, causing a spillage on the road.
Traffic towards Walvis Bay on the Dr. Hifikepunye Pohamba Freeway (road behind the dunes) is affected. The trailer unhooked and overturned approximately 3 km after the turnaround point when travelling towards Walvis Bay. The load is strewn on the road surface.
Senior Inspector Hilma Shomongula within the Erongo confirmed the incident. “It was alleged that the trailer hooked off from the truck. Nobody is injured, and they are busy cleaning up the crates of beer that spilled,” the senior inspector said.
