A 31-YEAR-OLD truck driver miraculously survived after the truck he was driving fell off a bridge about 50 km outside Windhoek towards Hosea Kutako International Airport.
According to Chief Inspector Elifas Kuwinga, media liaison officer within the Namibian police, the incident happened on Thursday, 16 May 2024, at around 20:20 on the B6 road, Seeis bridge.
“It is alleged that the driver of a white Hino truck with Windhoek registration lost control of the truck, and as a result, he bumped into Seeis bridge and the truck landed in the river underneath the bridge. A 31-year-old male driver sustained injuries on his right leg, which are between moderate and serious. There were no passengers in the truck,” Kuwinga said.
