A FARM owner in the Grootfontein area suffered a huge loss after thieves broke into a warehouse and stole horse riding equipment worth N$100 000.
The items were, however, recovered by the police.
According to Chief Inspector Elifas Kuwinga, media relations officer within the Namibian police, the housebreaking and theft incident happened on 15 April 2024 at about 06:00 at Farm Wendelstein, at a warehouse in the Grootfontein district, Otjozondjupa region.
“It is alleged that suspects broke the entrance door with an unknown object and gained entry. It was also discovered that one of the suspects among the three was previously employed at that farm. Stolen items were recovered through an intelligence-led operation. Items were recovered and two Namibian male suspects aged 34 and 48 were arrested,” Kuwinga said.
