THE Namibian police in the Otjozondjupa Region have revised their version of the fatal accident that occurred near Otavi last night. More details have been added while some inaccurate information has been corrected.
Two vehicles collided head-on and caught fire on the B1 road about ten kilometres from Otavi at around 23:00.
According to the updated version, the Toyota Hilux double cab had two occupants who were travelling from Windhoek to Tsumeb for a funeral.
The seven-seater had seven — not five — occupants. Four occupants, including the driver, died and were burnt beyond recognition. Three seven-seater occupants survived, not just one as reported earlier.
The police have not yet revealed the identities of the four persons who perished in the accident.
