PRESIDENT Nangolo Mbumba has conveyed his condolences to President Filipe Nyusi of Mozambique and the entire Mozambican population following the tragic ferry incident on Sunday, April 7, which claimed the lives of 90 Mozambican nationals.
“I am deeply distressed at the news of the fatal incident involving a ferry off the north coast of Mozambique that has claimed over 90 lives. The gravity of such a loss tends to leave an indelible mark not only on the affected communities but equally, on the nation,” the president said.
He emphasized Namibia’s unwavering solidarity with Mozambique during this challenging period.
“May the bereaved families find comfort and consolation during this difficult time,” the president added.
