THE identity of a female resident of Grootfontein, who was allegedly killed by her husband Tuesday night, has been revealed. She is 40-year-old Lizelda Xoagus, a radiographer at the Grootfontein district hospital.
The police withheld her identity in the initial reports because her next of kin were not yet informed.
Meanwhile, the police added that the suspect is still in critical condition at the Katutura Intermediate Hospital.
It is alleged that the suspect fatally stabbed his wife with a kitchen knife, poured acid on her, and then attempted suicide by drinking acid.
The police officers who attended the scene of the crime found him fighting for his life and took him to the hospital.
