BODY parts belonging to a baby were found in a mahangu field at Omagalanga village in the Omusati Region on Tuesday.
This was confirmed by Omusati’s Crime Investigation Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Moses Simaho, who said that an arm and parts of the baby’s head skin were discovered.
According to Simaho, the discovery was made by a community member and his dogs, who then informed the police.
“The body parts were transported to the Oshikuku hospital mortuary for safekeeping as investigations continue,” he said.
He added that the search is ongoing and will continue into the morning.
Simaho added that a case of murder and concealment of birth will be opened on Wednesday.
The suspect is unknown at this stage.
Police investigation into the matter continues.
