POLICE in the Oshikoto Region are investigating a case of rape after a father allegedly raped his 15-year-old biological daughter in October of last year.
The incident took place in a village in the Onyaanya Constituency.
Oshikoto Regional Commander Commissioner Teopolina Kalompo-Nashikaku stated that the act allegedly occurred when the victim visited her father, the suspect, for the weekend.
According to Kalompo-Nashikaku, the suspect lives alone, and there is only one sleeping room in the house.
“The suspect and the victim were sleeping in one room on one bed, when the suspect forcefully undressed the victim and raped her,” she said.
She added that the victim and the suspect were the only two people in the house at the time of the incident.
Kalompo-Nashikaku mentioned that the case was initially reported in Oshakati but was later referred to Omuthiya in the Oshikoto region.
She noted that no arrest has been made at this stage pending investigations.
