A CASE of concealment of birth, alternatively, murder is being investigated by police in the Erongo Region after a 4-5 months fetus was discovered dumped.
Erongo Community Affairs Officer Warrant Anna Frans said the discovery was made on Friday at Daureb Street, Tulinawa.
According to Frans, a fetus of about 4-5 months was discovered in the skip by a public member while he was scavenging for scraps.
“The body was found wrapped in a plastic bag for PEP in a seemingly decomposed state with its head decapitated. The head was also found in the same plastic,” she said.
She added that no suspect has been arrested at this stage. Hence, police are seeking public assistance to provide any information related to this incident.
