CUBAN Boys Football Club (FC) were recently crowned champions for the second edition of the Mix annual tournament held in Windhoek.
Cuban Boys FC defeated Thlabanelo FC 5-4 on penalties to be crowned winners.
As winners, the team walked away with N$7,000, gold medals, and a floating trophy.
Thlabanelo FC, as the second runner-up, walked away with N$3,500 and silver medals.

Meanwhile, Yashe FC and Core Vision FC both received N$1,750 as semi-final runners-up.
According to the Tournament Coordinator, Shindambi Petrus Hamukwaya, a member of WaBantu Events, the tournament was a resounding success.
Hamukwaya noted that the tournament achieved its goal of bringing people together on a day of sport for the benefit of all.
“We recorded a total of over 1,000 soccer fans who came to support their favourite teams,” he said.
He added that community members were also given a platform to sell their goods free of charge.
