Placido Hilukilwa
A newly born baby (photo) was found abandoned in a riverbed in Windhoek yesterday morning. It is suspected that an unknown woman gave birth and abandoned the baby where it was eventually discovered by residents laying on a disused windscreen of a vehicle. Chief Inspector Elifas Kuwinga of the Namibian police said the baby was taken to the hospital for medical assistance, and the mother (suspect) is not known yet. Kuwinga said he is still waiting for a detailed incident report.
