AN Angolan man suspected of fatally stabbing a fellow countryman has been on the run since Friday.
The deceased, 23-year-old Benesiu Ndaningalenga, had been reportedly spotted having fun with the suspect at Omashaka in the Ondangwa region. According to Oshana Community Affairs Officer Inspector Thomas Aiyambo, the two men got into an argument, which led to a fight.
Aiyambo said that the suspect went to his home, seized an Okapi knife, and left to pursue Ndaningalenga. “The suspect allegedly attacked the victim while he was on his way home,” he said.
The suspect allegedly stabbed the deceased several times in the stomach until his intestines fell out on the ground. He also hit him with a brick and a piece of brick on the head.
The deceased was rushed to Onandjokwe hospital but was declared dead upon arrival. “The knife, which was the instrument used, was not found at the scene as the suspect fled and has not yet been arrested,” Aiyambo added.
Meanwhile, the brick and the piece of brick were collected and will be sent for analysis.
Police investigation into the matter continues.
