THE police in Oshikoto has arrested a 32-year-old man for allegedly raping his cousin at Iihuhwayandundu village-Onyaanya area.
According to police commander, Commissioner Teopolina Kalompo-Nashikaku, the victim who is a Grade 6 learner informed the teacher of the incident.
Kalompo-Nashikaku said the suspect allegedly sneaked into the victim’s room during the evening hours and raped her.
“The victim went to inform her class teacher at school and the Class teacher reported the matter to the police,” she said.
Kalompo-Nashikaku indicated that the suspect has been arrested on a charge of rape and is expected to appear before the Ondangwa Magistrate Court this week.
Police investigation into the matter continues.
