A 28-YEAR-OLD man was forcibly removed from underneath the bed of a 23-year-old woman, after he allegedly raped the young woman in her sleep and tried to hide underneath her bed when she screamed for help.
According to Inspector Raimbert Muronga, Public Relations Officer within the Namibian police, the incident of rape happened in Keetmanshoop over the past weekend.
Muronga reported that the 28-year-old Namibian man was arrested for allegedly raping the 23 years old Namibian woman at Naude dam employees’ compound, //kharas region.
It’s alleged that the survivor was raped while asleep in her nephew’s room by her nephew’s roommate.
“The survivor slept in the room of her nephew while both were out for enjoyment and one of the roommates returned and allegedly raped her. The suspect hid under the bed after the victim screamed for help. The suspect is expected to appear in court on Wednesday, 16 March 2023 and Police investigations continue,” Muronga said.
