THE Windhoek Municipal Police (City Police), through its intelligence-led policing, has recovered stolen items that were found in a house in the Oshitenda location on the outskirts of Windhoek.
According to City Police, the officials have been on the trail of the group of criminals that has been terrorizing the residents of the city for some time with a series of housebreak-ins, predominantly in the area of Khomasdal.
The law enforcement officials said that what was also discovered was a silver Volkswagen Polo, which was often described as the getaway vehicle in the commission of these crimes.
They found different number plates (registration numbers), which are believed to have been used by suspects interchangeably on the getaway vehicle.
It is also established that Items such as flat screen televisions, cellphones, microwaves, pots, cutlery, jewellery, blankets, and many other items were recovered.
The Windhoek City Police therefore calls on members of the public to continue working closely with the police in curbing crime by being the eyes and ears of the police.
