JACQUES KRUGER, a 37-year-old Namibian man, died after an air-cylinder exploded at his workplace.
According to deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi of the Namibian Police, the late Kruger worked at the Dresselhaus truck and trailer repair workshop at farm Hoffnung, which is located eight kilometres from Kapps Farm police station.
It is alleged that at 08:25, the deceased switched on a compressor, which was followed by a 1 000-litre air cylinder exploding. Emergency services hurried to the scene at 09:00 on 25 January, but Kruger was unfortunately declared dead on the scene. No other persons were injured, and the next of kin has been informed.
