THE Namibian police at Omuthiya in the Oshikoto Region are investigating a case of rape, which involves a one-year-old and five-year-old girl who were allegedly raped repeatedly by a nine-year-old boy.
The alleged rape occurred in the Ononge village between 04-08 January 2023, during afternoon hours.
The regional police commander Teopolina Kalompo-Nashikaku said that the victims who are siblings were raped on several occasions during the start of 2023.
However, the matter was only reported to the police by the victims biological mother recently.
It is alleged that the suspect who is known to the two minors came at the victims house to play with them since they are neighbours.
“While they were playing in the shade under the marula tree the suspect allegedly rape them,” she added.
The suspect was released into the care of his parents while police investigations into the matter continue.
