THE incidence of theft has increased significantly in recent days just as it does every year during the festive season.
Not even telecommunications network towers are safe anymore.
A rare case of theft was reported to the police at Onandjaba in the Omusati Region on Tuesday after unknown thieves targeted the MTC’s network tower in the Okando village. They stole 200 litres of diesel from the power generator’s tank.
According to the police, the stolen fuel is valued at N$4 938.
No suspect was arrested and the fuel was not recovered.
