A GOVERNMENT vehicle was “damaged beyond repair” and its driver slightly injured in an accident that occurred on the Tsitsabis-Oshivello gravel road Sunday morning.
According to the police, the vehicle, the white Toyota Double Cab with registration number GRN 3670 was travelling from Tsitsabis to Oniipa when the driver lost control in a sharp curve and the vehicle overturned 46 km from Oshivello.
The 56-year-old driver, who was travelling alone, “sustained a swollen forehead and the vehicle damaged beyond repairs,” said the police.
She was taken to the Tsumeb hospital for treatment.
She was in possession of a valid driver’s license and a valid trip authority from the Ministry of Gender Equality, Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare.
