Road between Aussenkehr and Rosh Pinah temporarily closed

Staff Reporter

THE Roads Authority (RA) has announced that the road from Rosh Pinah to Aussenkehr (DR212) has been closed until further notice.

The RA explained that some sections of DR212 are flooded, which is caused by the high water levels in the Orange River due to heavy rain in some parts of South Africa.

In these circumstances, the RA is requesting all affected travellers to make use of the Keetmanshoop-Aus-Rosh Pinah road instead of DR212, until the water levels have subsided and the road is deemed safe for motorists.

Moreover, the RA is also currently monitoring the situation on MR118 (Rosh Pinah – Oranjemund) road.

The RA said that the public will be informed should the need arise to close this road as well for safety reasons.

All motorists are requested to report any potholes/road damages at their nearest RA Office or send an email to pr@ra.org.na or via the RA Facebook page – Roads Authority.
