ONE man died on the spot and three others were injured when sand collapsed on them while they were digging a trench for a pipeline at Ongwediva.
The deceased is a 24-year-old male originally from the Ondobe village in the Ohangwena Region.
The three survivors – Titus Johannes, Paulus Mathias and a certain Pedro sustained injuries of different degrees and were taken to the Oshakati intermediate hospital where their condition was described as stable.
The deceased’s body was taken to the Oshakati police mortuary for postmortem examination.
