THE fifth round of the Ark Trading national Enduro Championships took place at Iitumba, just south of Windhoek, on 10 September.
A field of more than 30 riders took to the hills of Windhoek to pit their skills against the best in the country. The challenging track saw the field diminished to only a handful of riders that was able to make it over the finish line.
Quinton van Rooyen started his class 2 Pro race well ahead on points to his nearest rival. Van Rooyen has dominated the season thus far on his Sherco sponsored 2022 300cc factory bike. CBT Sherco Namibia has also just landed 12 new bikes in the country, and is heavily invested in the local enduro racing scene.

He also went on to win the race on the day ahead of Marcel Henle in a time of 3 hours 1 minute and 20 seconds, more than 7 minutes ahead of Henle.
In Class 1, the Junior Pro class, it was Keanu Weber-Trianus that dominated the event in just over 3-and-a-half hours.
Jorn Greiter in the Senior Pro class 5 also continued his domination with yet another season win in 2 hours 28 minutes and 16 seconds, nearly 10 minutes ahead of nearest rival Heiko Stranghoner.
In other results, class 7, the intermediate class, was won by Sean Kemp in a time of 2 hours 32 minutes and 34 seconds, trailing by Jean Venter in 2 hours 50 minutes and 37 seconds.
The Rookie class, class 10 got palmed in by Vigo Swiegers in 2 hours 6 minutes and 44 seconds With André Barnard and Willem Swiegers filling up the podium.
