NORTHERN loved boxing club MTC-Kilimanjaro is expected to host its second part of the professional Young Shall Grow bonanza.
The bonanza is set for 22 October at the Oshakati Independence Stadium with about eight bouts to be displayed.
The MTC-Kilimanjaro boxing club introduced the unknown ‘Title’ bonanza as part of growing boxers and discovering raw talents through creating platforms for the boxers.
Club founder, Joseph Benhard, said that they are ready to host the professional bonanza and they had already held the fights.
Benhard explained that they are doing everything possible to promote boxers from amateur to professional.
“This will be our second biggest event that we are going to host in the region, the boxers are ready,” he said.
He added that their aim is to one day have a big ‘Title’ in Oshana Region.
MTC representative, Peter Eliaser, said MTC-Kilimanjaro Boxing Club continues to unite people from all parts of the country through the hosting of the boxing bonanza.
Eliaser stated that MTC-Kilimanjaro is standing because of the boxers, who are in the organization together with those other clubs that makes the events possible.
“MTC-Kilimanjaro has and always continues to remain consistent through hosting of either the amateur or professional fights which we command the club,” he said.
He then urged the boxers to remain disciplined and focus on their boxing career.
On his part, Oshana governor Elia Irimari extended his well wishes to the boxers during the preparation of their fights.
He reminded the boxers to make use of the platforms available to them as boxing has not been active for the past two years due to coronavirus that resulted in restrictions at the time.
Irimari also pledged his support for the event, saying that they will do everything possible to develop sport in the region.
