A CASE of robbery with aggravating circumstances was reported to the police in the Omusati Region after two suspects robbed a shop at the historic Omugulugwombashe village on Friday afternoon.
The robbers target the Appollo Eleven Mini Market in the Okashiya location. They used a panga to threaten the employees before they stole a cash amount of N$866.95 and other valuable items, including a hammer, a panga, a wheel pump and a knife.
Some of the items were recovered when the suspects were arrested.
They are aged 23 and 24 and are expected to appear in court on Monday.
A similar incident occurred at the Osau location, also in Omusati, Tuesday afternoon.
It is alleged suspects stabbed their victim with a knife and grabbed his cellphone and his wallet (and the respective cash).
The total value of the stolen items is N$10 000.
The victim was identified as Jonas Brasias (60), a resident of the Omaambo village in the Elim constituency.
No arrest was effected. The police investigations continue.
