THE Roads Authority (RA) announced that the District Road 212 (DR212) between Aussenkehr and Rosh-Pinah has been re-opened to all traffic.
The DR212 road was closed on 4 January due to damage caused by heavy rains and flooding. The flooding was a result of the rising water levels of the Orange River, which spilled over, rendering the road unusable. Motor users were therefore advised to use the Keetmanshoop-Aus-Rosh-Pinah route at that time.
RA said that repairs and restoration works on the road have since been completed and motor users can use the road between Aussenkehr and Rosh-Pinah again.
“The RA would like to express its sincere appreciation to all stakeholders and motorists for their cooperation during this period,” RA said.
