A 69-YEAR-OLD South African man, Cornelius Jakobus Kuhn, died on Saturday, after he was involved in an accident that occurred between Mariental and Tses on Saturday at about 13:29.
According to the police, the driver, a 42-year-old South African woman, lost control of the vehicle while she was trying to avoid colliding with another vehicle that was traveling in the opposite direction. The vehicle then went off the road, overturned and rolled over once.
The police said that there were five South African occupants, aged nine to 69, in the vehicle. Kuhn died at the scene and the others sustained serious injuries and were taken to Keetmanshoop State Hospital.
The deceased next of kin has been informed.
