THE Tulihongeni Vocational Training Centre will kick off with their annual tournament in the Oshana Region.
The tournament is set to kick off on Saturday and will conclude on Sunday at Oshakati United Soccer Field, located in Evululuko.
According to tournament planner Leonard Mandongo, registration for teams is still open and competitors can register their teams at an amount of N$ 800 for both soccer and netball.
Mandongo stated that the tournament aims to target Namibian from all walks of life, who enjoy sporting activities.
“We want to give people the feeling of belonging during the games and have time to engage with the players on the ground,” he said.
He added that there is a grand prize to be won both for netball and soccer.
The first runner-ups will walk away with N$ 5000, a floating trophy and gold medals, and the second runner-ups will scoope N$ 3000 and Silver medals. While the third runner-ups will be grabbing N$ 2000 and bronze medals.
Mandongo stated that the tournament is opened to everyone that wants to participate.
“This tournament is worth attending,” he stressed.
He added that professional referees will be involved and the venue is reachable.
