THE Erongo Police have confirmed that 510 grams of cocaine, valued at N$306 000, was discovered in the vehicle of Dutch national Roland Antonius Wilhelmus Masolijn (53) who was shot dead in Swakopmund on Monday.
The police also revealed that the vehicle in question, a Ford Ranger Raptor, is registered in the name of Masolijn’s girlfriend.
This comes after the police previously disclosed that, besides the cocaine, they also discovered 120 boxes of 9 mm live rounds in a safe, N$2 050 in cash, three cell phones in a bag and a firearm license registered in the girlfriend’s name.
Police investigations have determined that the gun (with regards to the gun license that was found) was traded at a local gun dealer shop in Swakopmund last year and sold to a new owner, who has applied to acquire a license.
The police said they cannot reveal more information at this stage as the matter is still under investigation.
