These are a few of the profound memories of how retired Oshikunde Circuit Inspector Penehafo Haidula will be remembered by various school principals in her circuit.
Haidula, who was the first female inspector of education in the Ohangwena Region, started in the Okongo Circuit in 2004 and was serving 37 schools at the time.
She was later transferred from Okongo to establish the Oshikunde Circuit until her time of retirement.
Speaking on behalf of all, Oshikunde principal Victoria Shindume said Haidula convinced the directorate of education to build the Oshikunde Circuit office.
“We cannot define this as a farewell as we still need your advice, mentorship and inspiration during your retirement,” she said.
Shindume told Haidula to always have her number reachable as they will need her assistance when faced with obstacles.
Haidula said her time as an educator gave her a chance to impact many lives and make a difference in the lives of Namibian children for them to accomplish their goals.
“Colleagues, with your support you made me achieve a lot as the education inspector, hence my journey was marvellous,” she said.
Haidula then joked about how she was the only female among the males during her time as the only female inspector.
She called on all educators to continue supporting the Oshikunde Circuit to excel and be the best circuit in the Ohangwena Region.
