AN inquest was opened after 30-year-old Johannes Itekulenge Ikongelwa drowned while swimming in a dam on Wednesday.
According to police commander Commissioner Armas Shivute, the incident occurred at Onambemba village in the Oniipa area around 15:00.
“The deceased allegedly tried to swim across the dam thrice but drowned in the process,” Shivute said.
