NAMPOWER has fully restored power to the Kombat settlement which experienced a power outage on Wednesday afternoon.
Area Manager: Northern Region, Petrus Immanuel, stated that the situation was restored on Friday around 22h00, after two transformers were installed.
According to a press statement, the power outage was caused by a faulty transformer that affected the distribution area.
“NamPower technical personnel successfully installed a new transformer, which had to be transported from Windhoek to site,” read the statement.
The public is once again urged that in the event of any power outage, they should treat all power lines and electrical points as ‘live’ during power outages, as no prior notification is given when power supply is restored.
