Rainy weekend predicted except for South

NAMIBIA is still blessed with rain in some parts of the country, with residents from the Ruacana, Otjiwarongo and Gochas areas reporting 66 mm, 30 mm and 26 mm respectively on Thursday and Friday night.

Other places that saw rain are Snyrivier-Noord (15,5 mm), Otjikururume (8 mm), Okondjatu (5.6 mm) and Okahua (2.5 mm).

Khorixas and Claratal received 0.9 mm and a few drops fell in the capital (0.1 mm).

According to Namibia Meteorological Services, the rain will continue to fall over the weekend in many regions except the South.

Rundu will be partly cloudy and warm with a few showers expected while isolated to scattered showers are predicted for a warm to hot Ondangwa.
Windhoek will be cloudy and warm with isolated thundershowers.

At the coast, it will be partly cloudy and mild with fog patches at first.
The South will be partly cloudy and hot, with temperatures of up to 32 degrees.
