A 42-YEAR-OLD Namibian woman and her 23-year-old Zambian boyfriend are fighting for their lives after a jilted ex-lover opened fire on them at their residence in Katima Mulilo in the Zambezi region.
The incident happened on Sunday at around 21:00 at Lisikili village.
According to the police, the couple were reportedly at their residence when the woman’s ex-boyfriend entered the house and shot the man in the right thigh and the woman in the right arm.
The suspect allegedly travelled from Kwena to Lisikili on Sunday and fled the scene after the incident.
The two victims were taken to the Katima hospital and are in critical condition.
The suspect is a Namibian man known to the police but he has not been arrested.
