THE Namibian Police confiscated drugs worth over N$4 million in February and arrested 106 suspects on drug-related charges.
From 1 to 28 February, 140.594 kg cannabis valued at N$1 405 940, 1 219 Mandrax tablets (N$146 280), 7.5 grams cocaine powder (N$1 750), 61 units Crack cocaine (N$6 100), 4.965 kg heroin (N$2 482 500) and 25 bags of paraformaldehyde (N$1 033.60) were seized.
According to Nampol spokesperson Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, a total of 106 suspects were arrested for illegal trading of drugs.
Among the arrested are 98 Namibians, two Angolans, one Congolese, two South Africans, two Zimbabweans and one Zambian.
“The police again encourage the public to report drug-related activities happening in the community, to curb these kinds of crimes,” Shikwambi said.
