AN Angolan national is expected to appear before the Oshakati Magistrate’s Court for stabbing a 39-year-old Angolan man at Ongwediva.
The 49-year-old male suspect allegedly stabbed the victim on Tuesday around 18:00.
According to Nampol Community Affairs Officer Inspector Thomas Aiyambo, the victim and suspect were walking in the location when an argument erupted between them.
“The suspect allegedly took out a knife from his pocket and stabbed the victim in the chest as well as on his left arm,” he said.
Aiyambo said the victim sustained open wounds and was rushed to the Oshakati Intermediate State Hospital for medical attention.
The victim is reportedly in a stable condition.
It is unclear what caused the argument between the two.
