Two unnatural deaths reported in Omusati

THE Namibian Police in the Omusati Region is investigating two unnatural death cases reported on Valentine’s Day.

On Monday evening, Suama Iileka (49) died tragically after she fell off a donkey cart that she was riding on with two other people.

The incident occurred at Eengondo village in the Ruacana constituency around 23:00.

According to Omusati Regional Commander Commissioner Titus Shikongo, the deceased was riding home at the time of the accident.

“Iileka sustained neck injuries but later died upon arrival at home,” he added.

The deceased’s body was transported to the Okahao police mortuary.

In another incident, Angolan national Linus Manuele was found hanging from a wire tied to a mopane tree at Ohambanda village in the Outapi constituency.

Shikongo stated that the deceased was employed as a domestic worker at the house where the incident happened.

“The next of kin were informed and no suicide note was left behind,” he added.

The body was taken to the Okahao police mortuary.
