HEAVY rainfall was reported from the Namib to the Kalahari over the weekend.
In Swakopmund, the meat had to be pulled off the coals in haste due to a sudden downpour Saturday evening which also left Walvis Bay residents scurrying for containers because of leaking roofs and other infrastructure.
The Walvis Bay Municipality warned residents that the sporadic rainfall at the coast resulted in some flash floods and residents were advised to remain vigilant.
An alert was issued of heavy downpour reported on the B2 route between Usakos and Okahandja on Sunday.

Outjo in the Kunene reported 32 mm Saturday evening and widespread rain fell in the Oshana region.
