THE MR118 road between Oranjemund and Rosh Pinah remains closed due to the concerning water levels of the Orange River.
Bennie van der Hoven from Orange River Farm said the river levels are still extremely high but are slowly subsiding and there is no immediate crisis at the moment.
The river, that is normally 600 metres from the Oranjemund Horse Riding Club, is now “part of the club”, a resident said.
The levels are reportedly expected to rise again on Wednesday or Thursday, as rain is predicted to fall upstream.
