Rundu in Kavango East was equally lucky with Gondwana Collection Namibia’s Hakusembe River Lodge receiving15.4 mm.
Tsumeb in Oshikoto reported 70 mm Monday. Farm Emilienhof near Tsumeb received 53 mm by Monday noon.
According to reports on social media platforms such as Rain Namibia, up to 170 mm fell within 24 hours at Grootfontein while Otavi received 80 mm.
Farmers in the Gobabis area measured up to 50 mm.
East of Koës up to 65 mm fell Saturday night and northwest of Mariental 50 mm was reported Sunday night.
Weather observer and farmer George van der Merwe of Aranos said widespread rain was expected on Monday, also in the South, and flooding was not excluded, weather services warned.
