FIVE days after a ten-year-old girl was allegedly raped the incident was reported to the Okatope police and the 19-year-old suspect arrested.
It is not known why the matter was reported days after the alleged incident at the Ondjokwe village in the Oshikoto Region.
According to the weekend crime bulletin, the girl was reportedly raped on Sunday 5 December by the suspect who is a domestic worker at her parents’ house where he also lives.
He allegedly raped her while her parents were not home.
The matter was reported to the police on 10 December.
Police investigation continues.
