A 33-year-old bus driver was found in possession of a box of imported Yes cigarettes and whiskey bottles on the Omuthiya B1 road on Tuesday.
According to Community Affairs Officer, Inspector Ellen Nehale, the suspect was arrested during a police search along the main road, Oshikoto Region.
“The goods, valued at N$6 700, were confiscated and the suspect arrested,” she said.
Nehale added that the suspect has been chargers with possession of illicit goods.
He is expected to appear before the Ondangwa magistrate’s court this week.
Police investigations into the matter continue.
