The National Council for Higher Education held a certificate award ceremony to mark the registration of a private higher education institution, to acknowledge programmes that have recently been accredited and to hand over audit reports for three private higher education institutions that recently completed their first five-year cycle after registration.
Dr Itah Kandjii-Murangi, Minister of Higher Education, Technology and Innovation made it clear, speaking at the event, that these institutions demonstrated that Covid-19 cannot serve as a reason to lay back and wait for normalcy to resume.
“We are indeed in a new normalcy and have to constantly innovate to ensure that high quality education is maintained for the benefit of the Namibian student. Since quality is a moving target, we cannot afford to relax and wait for the next review process. We expect institutions to continuously strive for quality improvement,” the Minister said.
Congratulations to the Institute for Open Learning, Sunshine Private College, Namibia University of Science and Technology, International University of Management and Headstart Montesorri Teacher Training College for the milestones they have achieved.
