THE Namibian police in the Omusati Region are investigating a case of housebreaking with intent to steal and theft after unknown suspects broke into the house of a 38-year-old woman on Monday.
They got away with items worth over N$25 000.
Deputy Commissioner Moses Simaho, crime investigation coordinator of the Omusati police, said the incident occurred at the Iikologo village in the Elim constituency.
“It is alleged that the suspects entered the house of the complainant, broke the door of one of the rooms, and stole the property of the complainant,” he said.
The unknown suspects walked away with a Honda 7KVA200A genset welder, a 13 mm Bosch 570W GSB570 13 Pro Drill and a 115mm Bosch GWS700 angle grinder with a total value of N$25 572.37.
No recoveries were made thus far.
Police investigations into the matter continue.
