THE Namibian Police in the Oshana Region is investigating a case of housebreaking after unknown suspects broke into the office of the Mzuzu Energy LTD at Ongwediva during lunch time on Wednesday.
The company’s office is located inside the Ongwediva Trade Fair Centre.
According to the police, the crime was committed when the company’s Chief Executive Officer, a 51-year-old Malawian citizen, went out for lunch at 13:00.
He allegedly closed and locked the office door before he left, but found the door wide open when he returned.
The thieves ransacked the office and stole three laptops with a total value of N$14 700; two tablets worth N$2 000 and N$1 000, two laptop bags jointly worth N$2 600 and a cellphone valued at N$1 000.
The suspect or suspects are still not known and no one has yet been arrested in connection with the incident.
