PRESIDENT Hage Geingob will again address the nation from State House to inform Namibians about the latest measures and government interventions aimed at keeping the spread of Covid-19 to a minimum.
Although the numbers fluctuated slightly, the past month has seen a significant decline in the number of new cases being registered, with some days even recording zero Covid-19 related deaths.
The reduction in numbers following the devastating third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic has seen the relaxation of some health regulations since the previous national engagement.
The Minister of Health and Social Services, Dr. Kalumbi Shangula, and several other members of Cabinet, will also participate in the engagement where Namibia’s latest plan of action to further curb the spread of SARS-CoV2 amongst various communities will be discussed.
The current measures and regulations will end at midnight on 15 September 2021.
The national address from State House was supposed to happen today, but the engagement with the nation was postponed and will now happen at 11:00 on Tuesday morning.
Informanté News will broadcast Geingob’s address live.
